How Do You Know?

How do you know if you are making the right decisions in your life?

Sometimes things just don't feel right but that could be for one of two reasons.
1. It really isn't right, or
2. It is right, it's just uncomfortable for you.

But, how can we ever tell the difference between the two?

Sometimes we trick ourselves into thinking the second one . . . just so we can hide from the possibility of getting hurt.  We don't want to ask the hard questions because we are afraid of what the answer might be. We just settle because we don't think we can find anything better.  But by doing that we are simply prolonging the inevitable and keeping at the bay the good that is to come.

But what happens if the feelings you are having are truly unwarranted? And yet in order to protect yourself you simply just stop. Stop your relationships. Stop your friendships. Just stop trying. Would that be in vain? Would you later regret the decision only to find out there is nothing you can do to fix it?

What if by confronting the reality . . . the truth . . . it makes things better? If by laying all your cards out on the table all the doubt and the anxiety can be cleared away?

So, with all these possibilities . . . how can you tell if you are making the right decision?
